Group Fitness Staff

Job Summary

Do you enjoy making a difference in someone else’s life? Genesis Health Clubs are looking to expand their Group Fitness Staffs at all locations. We are looking for instructors for all areas of classes including, but not limited to, Step, Hi/Lo, indoor cycling, yoga and pilates.

Life Guard

Job Summary

West Central Genesis is looking for a certified lifeguard who is interested in teaching swim lessons.  WSI certification not required, in house training available.  Daily lifeguard duties would include testing water chemicals, cleaning pools and patron surveillance.

Job Expectations

Provide supervision of Aquatic Area.
Follow and enforce Aquatic Area Rules.   
Demonstrate and promote teamwork through flexibility and a willingness to assist as needed to maintain adequate staffing of the pool.
Perform other assigned duties as necessary or required.
Present a professional demeanor at all times when representing the club.
Be responsible for working assigned shifts
Notify Aquatics Director when unable to work an assigned shift.
Assist with finding a replacement worker, if requested to do so.
Strive to be productive at all times.

Must become CPR certified and Personal Trainer certified within 90 days of employment.  Accepted certifications: NASM, ACE, ACSM, NSCA or Cooper Institute. Accepted degrees: Athletic Training, Chiropractic, Exercise Physiology, Exercise Science, Fitness Management, Human Performance, Kinesiology, Nutrition, Physical Education, Physical Therapy, Sports Management, Sports Medicine. Nursery Staff

Duties and Responsibilities

Provide supervision for children of various ages.
Follow and enforce guidelines for checking children into and out of nursery.
Follow procedures to ensure necessary payment is collected from club members.
Assist children with toileting needs, including regular changing of diapers.
Clean and disinfect toys, counters, tables and nursery facility per published cleaning checklists.
Organize storage containers for toys and miscellaneous items.
Demonstrate and promote teamwork through flexibility and a willingness to assist as needed to maintain adequate staffing of the nursery.
Provide laundry service, to include washing, drying, and folding, of towels supplied by club for member use.
Attend all mandatory meetings.
Perform other assigned duties as necessary or required.

Expectations

Present a professional demeanor at all times when representing the club.
Be responsible for working assigned shifts
Notify Nursery Manager or Assistant Manager when unable to work an assigned shift. Assist with finding a replacement worker, if requested to do so.
Strive to maintain a healthy and enjoyable place for the children to play in while maintaining good relations with club members and staff.

Infant, Child, and Adult CPR Certification.
